Everyone knows oven-baked lasagna with tomatoes, lots of cheese, and minced meat—the flood of recipes online is virtually endless. Today we're bringing you a modified version of the classic lasagna!

Happy without meat? No problem with the vegetarian version of a true classic ! SKOTTI also really excites vegetarians. For example, with the zucchini lasagna – a creation by Klaus Breining. He is one of the most well-known chefs and grill experts in Germany and has delighted television viewers with his creative recipe ideas on RTL, RTL II, PRO7, SAT.1, ARD, ZDF, and HR television, among others.


For this recipe, husband and wife take the following ingredients (2 servings) :

  • 1 medium zucchini (cut lengthwise)
  • 5 - 6 small vine tomatoes (sliced)
  • 1 small red onion (in rings)
  • Now some thyme
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Cress and basil
  • A little oil
  • If necessary, other spices: paprika powder, herbs, garlic

Preparation:

  1. First, cut the zucchini into thin slices using a sharp knife.
  2. First, heat the Skotti to full and briefly grill the sliced ​​zucchini on both sides with a little oil.
  3. Now grill the onions – Klaus recommends using the plancha for both grilling processes.
  4. Now the lasagna principle comes into play – layering the ingredients on top of each other. A plate or board is a good base for layering. Layer zucchini, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and cress until all the zucchini slices are used up. Finally, garnish with fresh herbs like basil and enjoy.
